Clergy

Most Reverend Thomas Wieczorek, D.D.

Bp. Tom moved to Washington DC in 2005 from Ionia, Michigan. 


During his lifetime, he has held many positions: award winning newspaper reporter, baker, police officer, fire chief, deputy and director of public safety, city manager, and consultant. He currently is an owner/partner in a consulting company assisting cities and counties with public safety issues, CPSM, LLC. 


Bp. Tom is very active in DC and other communities, having been the vice chairperson of Capital Pride, chairperson of Ionia-Montcalm County Domestic Violence Program, president of the Michigan Local Government Management Association, President of Ionia County Memorial Hospital, and many other groups. He is actively volunteering with the CHERRY group in Washington, DC having established the Barry Smythers Fund in memory of his partner who died in 2016.  That fund targets suicide prevention and mental health.


He is very proud of his two children, Alyssa and Christopher and loves to spoil his four granddaughters.
